Cross Wireless Completes Phase II 4G LTE Deployment in Oklahoma.
Warner based and locally owned Cross Wireless announced today they have completed Phase 2 of their 4G LTE network build out.
Cross Wireless d/b/a Sprocket Wireless has completed the first two phases of a three phase deployment. The latest launch brings 4G LTE to the Stigler, Checotah, Eufaula, Canadian, Crowder and Savannah areas. The previous launch included Muskogee, McAlester, Idabel, Hugo, and Broken Bow areas. The final phase will include Pawhuska, Fairfax, Henryetta, Okemah, Dustin, Indianola and Seminole areas.
In 2010, Cross Wireless entered into an agreement with Verizon Wireless to become a member of the LTE in Rural America program. This agreement allows Cross Wireless to lease Verizon Wireless spectrum to build LTE sites in rural areas throughout 17 Eastern Oklahoma counties to bring high speed wireless data to rural Oklahomans. Cross Wireless will be the first carrier to launch true 4G LTE technology in this portion of Oklahoma using 20Mhz of the 700Mhz spectrum band which allows greater data speeds and coverage then other LTE providers. As an LRA member, Cross customers will not only be able to use these devices at home, but also nationwide on the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network.
Cross Wireless will now be able to provide customers with wireless high speed data at speeds up to ten times faster then the existing 3G technology. Customers in the Cross Wireless service area that have been unable to get broadband to the home, can now take advantage of true high speed wireless internet that has not been available until now.
Cross Wireless will provide customers both fixed and mobile wireless broadband devices to be used on the new 4G LTE premium plans as well as continuing the unlimited fixed data on the current 3G technology. This allows customers to choose the data service that best fits their needs. New premium 4G LTE plans have been added to give customers nationwide unrestricted talk and text as well as the addition of the all new “Share Your Life Family Plan”. This plan will allow the sharing of one data plan between everyone on the account.
Along with the new wireless LTE data service, additional devices such as 4G LTE smart phones, home gateways and business solutions have been added to the lineup. With the new plans and new device lineup, Cross Wireless will provide customers and businesses a custom solution for every wireless need they may have.
